Speech pathology that comes to your child

Hayley Phelan supports children from birth to twelve, primarily visiting students at their primary schools across the Bellarine Peninsula.

While Hayley is often at full capacity, appointments may become available throughout the year. Please get in touch to enquire about availability and discuss whether Barwon Speech Pathology is the right fit for your child's needs.

What Hayley helps with

Hayley supports children to develop their language and social communication in ways that build on their strengths, interests and individual needs.

  • Autism and social communication differences

Hayley has extensive experience supporting children on the autism spectrum. Her neuroaffirming approach respects each child's way of communicating, with support shaped around their goals and everyday experiences.

  • Social understanding and friendships

Helping children explore social situations, understand different perspectives and feel more confident joining in play and conversations. Together, we focus on meaningful connections while valuing each child's authentic self.

  • Understanding language

Supporting children to make sense of spoken information, follow instructions and understand questions at home, at kinder and in the classroom.

  • Expressing ideas and telling stories

Helping children find the words to share their thoughts, explain their needs, recount experiences and organise their ideas so others can understand.

  • Early language development

Supporting children who are beginning to communicate or developing their words and phrases, while helping families find practical ways to encourage communication through everyday play and routines.
